DTF (Direct To Film) is the latest, affordable and revolutionary technology for printing on textiles. Direct To Film printing is a method that rivals direct to garment (DTG) printing and allows users to print their logos, images and designs on a special type of coated PET film. This film is then used to transfer the printed image onto textiles using a light powder adhesive, which can be applied manually or by using an automatic powder shaker to distribute the adhesive evenly over the design and with this added step the transfer process becomes possible.

DTF (Direct to Film) and DTG (Direct to Garment) are two different methods of printing on textiles, each with their own unique advantages. In the following paragraphs we will compare DTF and DTG, drawing attention to their main differences:

• Colours and contrast:

DTF offers more contrasting colours compared to DTG. This method allows to achieve saturated and vivid colours that stand out better on textiles.

• Fade:

DTF does not fade as much as DTG. This aspect ensures longer lasting and quality prints that retain their vibrancy long after washing.

• Elasticity of the print:

The DTF die has greater elasticity, making it suitable for textiles of different elasticity and shape. This is particularly useful when printing on textiles that can stretch or curve.

• Influenced by the fabric of the textile:

DTF is not affected as much by the fabric of the textile compared to DTG. DTG is best suited for dense cottons, while DTF provides flexibility and the ability to print successfully on a variety of fabrics.

• Defect detection before printing:

With DTF you have the opportunity to detect a defect in the print before placing it on the textile. This aspect provides the opportunity to fix the design before sending it to the end customer, which can improve the end result and customer satisfaction.

In conclusion, the choice between DTF and DTG depends on the specific requirements of the project and the desired characteristics of the final output. While DTF features more saturated colors, greater elasticity and less fading, DTG provides optimal results for certain fabrics and detailing requirements.

Of course, our attitude to customers is special and fair. You have the right to return a purchased item within 14 days of ordering. The conditions are that the products must be in commercial condition, unused and without damage. The goods must not have been worn. To request a return, you must fill in the return form describing the reason. MK Custom Studio reserves the right to refuse to accept any return made.

Shipments must be returned without COD. The return of your amount is made by bank transfer.

It often happens that you have an idea for a t-shirt print, but you can’t depict it in a suitable way. In such cases, we can make the image you want entirely or based on the materials you provide.

Does it pay for a project?

The short answer is: yes, when a lot of project work is required. Here are some of the cases in which the project design is paid for:

• you only have an idea and we have to completely make the image.
• you have an image that requires additional processing (beyond standard processing) to make it suitable for printing.
• you need to draw an image combination of different pictures provided by you.
• when we need to make more than 1 project for 1 order.

The cost of the project depends on its complexity and the time required for its production.

We recommend washing the textile at 30 °C on the reverse side of the print without using strong or bleaching detergents. Do not tumble dry or dry on a strong radiator. Do not iron directly onto the print! Direct contact of the print with strong heat (from an iron, dryer or radiator) causes the inks to lose elasticity, which can cause the print to split.
